Lakers Hire Mike Brown

Let start of by saying, It didn't matter who the Lakers hired they would have still had the Laker Nation asking "Why Him". Mike Brown in my eyes is a ok coach. He is better than Jeff Van Gundy, Kevin Mchale, and Rick Adelman. What I saw was a team that played soft over the last two years defensively, and Mike Brown is going to change that.

The reason why I feel he was the better candiate was the fact that he is acustomed to winning. He Coaches Both Defense and Offense alot better then any of the other coaches I presented. Two he came at a much cheaper price then the other would have been too.

Now no disrespect to Brian Shaw, I felt he would have made a great coach, and think he will still get a chance in the league to show his talents. The point is this present Laker team needed to go in a total different direction. Defensively they did not play up to Laker Standards. They played to soft in the paint (Pau Gasol), They didn't play great pick and roll defense (Hornets) and overall there was just to much division in the locker room.

The only problem I have with Mike Brown overall is will he let Kobe run over him like he let Lebron. At times you would see Lebron doing more talking in the huddle then him. He has to be firm with Kobe and run the Lakers Like he needs to...
